Well, I'm here 2 weeks post-op, trying to catch up on everything. (Good Luck) There is the school carnival this Friday, Track meet in Camarillo on Saturday, 80's Party on Saturday night, Church on Sunday morning (oh that's right, need to work on the lesson plan)and finally my Goddaughter's dance recital, Sunday evening. PHEWWW!
Then of course their is Earth Day next week, which I am in charge of (what was I thinking). No one is interested. Yet it must be done,(so hurry up and come up with something for an assembly next week). Somehow when I decided to become a "stay at home" mom", I thought I would actually be home. I thought I would be baking my own bread, sewing the latest fashions and have an immaculate home. Not to mention, bathed(I'm lucky to get an uninterrupted shower) and made-up(does blistex count as makeup?) awaiting the man of the house to arrive from work. OK!!! WAKE UP!!! I guess I'm not in my fantasy world where one can do it all.
So I resign myself to slow down and unload the dishes. Have a cup of tea and read the mail. Do a load of laundry and watch a movie. Life is all about balance and the world (or at least my little bit of it) will continue to turn even if I don't bake those 5 dozen cookies.
